A simpler way to organize Git repositories.
Bow Git Vault began as a local-first Windows prototype for discovering, saving, downloading and reviewing GitHub repositories without requiring a separate Bow cloud account.
Why it exists
Git tools can expose a lot of information at once. Bow Git Vault is organized around a visual repository library: what projects are saved, which ones exist locally, which ones may need updates, and what information is inside each repository.
How the prototype is laid out
The left navigation contains Dashboard, Repositories and Settings, followed by saved GitHub Profiles and a short Recent Repositories list. Selecting a downloaded repository opens a workspace with Overview, Changes, Commits, Branches, Files, Remotes and Settings.
Working prototype
The current project is experimental. Screenshots and documentation show the product direction rather than guaranteeing every control will remain in future builds.
Product direction
The focus is repository discovery, local organization, update awareness, readable repository information, commit history, file browsing and a beginner-friendly interface.
