FEATURES

A local repository command center.

Bow Git Vault collects repository information in one place and makes project organization easier to see.

Repository totals, downloaded-local count, available updates, forks and recently used repositories.

Repository Library

Search saved repositories, filter local copies, add a specific repository URL and review what has been downloaded.

GitHub Profile Scan

Paste a public GitHub profile URL and scan its public repositories and forks.

Add Repository

Add an existing local Git repository, download/clone a repository URL, or save one specific GitHub repository URL.

Dedicated Repos Folder

Repositories downloaded through Bow Git Vault can be stored together in the program's repos folder.

Update Awareness

Check downloaded repositories for newer remote changes and highlight projects needing attention.

Repository Overview

View current branch, last local commit, last remote update, last checked time, remote URL, languages and README.

Commit History

Browse commit messages, short hashes, authors and relative times.

📁

Tracked Files

Browse tracked files grouped by top-level folder and narrow them with a file search.

Settings

View and open the local repository folder and local app-data storage.

Local App Data

Prototype library information and settings are stored locally rather than requiring a Bow cloud account.

Open on GitHub

Jump to the repository's GitHub page when GitHub-specific tools or information are needed.

Application Updates

Installed builds can check GitHub Releases for a newer Bow Git Vault version and install available updates.

Website scope

The website does not advertise publishing or pushing changes back to GitHub. Early prototype screenshots may still display experimental controls that later versions can change or remove.
